This is a story of me and my very first nugget! It was mid-March 2016 and it was pure, beautiful, Arizona greatness. The sun had a warm glow as it was approaching the end of the day, the mighty Sahuaros were standing guard, and the scenery was immaculate.
I had just bought a used GPX 5000. I was so excited to finally own one of these powerful machines.
My dad and I went to a wash and started exploring the different features of the machine. There was a bit of a learning curve, but within minutes I had it operating... once I flipped the switch to Mono from Cancel - easy fix!!
We were detecting this amazing looking bench. I heard a screaming signal. We pried away at the soil and out popped a 1/3 OZ nugget. My first ever nugget, was huge.
