Exciting Gold finds from the Bronze age in Denmark

11 Jun 2014

The story of how I found the gold ring comes here. I had bought a Minelab Safari and go out and try it on a grass field. I knew that was previously found 6 gold rings from the Bronze Age, in this field. I had probably gone and searched for 15 minutes when I got a good signal. My search partner who walked beside me, came over with his detector to see if it could be something good. I told him that it was probably a gold ring. It was just saying for fun. I stick the spade down and rocking it up. I did not believe my eyes.

There was a gold-like things out of the ground. My search partner said whit big eyes it is a gold ring. I took the ring into my hands and said, no it is not a gold ring. Of course I knew that it was a ring. But I could not believe it. My hands started shaking and I did not know if I was going to run or jump into the air. We hugged each other and were just crazy happy. It was one of the greatest moments in my life. I was so shaken that I had to stop searching for the day. I said to my search partner that I would sit down in the car. He would continue the search for a while. After a few minutes, he came storming down to the car. He had also found a gold ring. It had a weight of 100 grams. It was found with an another detector. (Not a Minelab Detector) We agreed to stop for the day. The day after we contacted the local museum and was handed the rings. We told the lady at the museum that now we were going to find some more rings.

I found two gold rings more. This time with another detector. (Not with the Minelab safari.) We found 4 gold rings in total. The weight of all the ring was 700 grams of 24k gold.

The rings are from 800-900 years before Christ.
