The day i found this i had taken a friend out as a guest, i went one way he went the other, i headed to a known hotspot, i had been detecting this field for 2 years and it always produced roman and hammered, i had only been in the field half hour and i had 1 roman denarius and a hammered,
i carried on and thought what a good day i am having 10 minutes later a lovely sharp signal, (i only use two tone ferrous) i was detecting soft plough at the time, i put the spade into the ground and moved the soil out, after passing the soil over the coil it was in my hand, i opened my hand and could not believe my eyes, it’s only a very small ring, probably made for a young child, but another rare find i am very proud of.
