Find of a lifetime

16 Feb 2014

Hey guys my name is Sam I live in Camden New South Wales and I am 15 years of age. I love metal detecting and have been metal detecting for about year-and-a-half now. I enjoy going metal detecting trips with my dad and My friends which go metal detecting with me. Recently I have been starting to find a lot of amazing silver coins and amazing artefacts. One day me and my father decided to go metal detecting in a different spots other than Camden. So we just got in the car and drove off looking for different spots to go. driving for about an hour and a half when we came across an old town as we ventured into the town we found an amazing park. When I started to get some amazing finds. I dug a Penny here and there. But then I came across this 1 m x 1 m square which was covered in different sorts of pre decimal coins including a silver ring and nice World War II returned from active service badge. My heart was pounding as a dug coin after coin shilling florin shilling florin. This has been the most amazing metal detecting trip I thought in my mind. Me and my dad finished up on the patch and gig as many coins as possible before it was time to head home. So that was my amazing metal detecting trip . I'm going to keep these queens and relics for the rest of my life. Thanks.
