Minelab

New Start.

19 Mar 2019

I am 74 years young. I have always had an interest in finding gold, I will never forget the words of a (now much despised) school teacher in around 1958 that all known alluvial gold had been found. As a child i put all my aspirations aside as a result of that learned information, never losing interest however. It was not until around the year 2000 that I finally took the step of purchasing a modest house in the West Australian goldfields and went out in earnest with my first Minelab SD2000. After a couple of years I bought my second Minelab a GP Extreme and later progressed to the GPX4000 and later to the GPX5000. After 12 years in the goldfields of WA and over 200 ounces of gold later my wife and I were forced to move closer to an area closer to a hospital due to here ill health. No longer in the goldfields I sold all my equipment including my GPX5000. Sadly I lost my wife in 2014. Now, fitter than ever I am ready for a comeback. I only see one problem; No longer in the workforce how can I afford another GPX5000 or even a GPX4500 (love them both)? Always a Minelab fan.
