I'm from the Southern Oklahoma, North Texas area. I have always dreamed digging up a gold coin. This happened to me right after my Golden Triangle Club meeting.
It was about 1:30 am, I was out in the lake digging a bunch of zinc penny signals, I was getting tired of digging them, so when the last zinc penny signal happened I almost decided to walk away from it. But then I realized I had previously found a very heavy gold men's wedding band with a zinc penny signal so I turned around.
I was three feet away from it and I scooped it out of the lake in neck deep water, I started thinking am I dreaming? Is this the real thing? I walked back to the shoreline, reached in the scoop and pulled out a 1852 US Ten Dollar Gold Coin that had been turned to a piece of jewelry with a Gold Reef around it.
At that point I decided I need to go home and call it a night. In the morning when I woke up I went and checked my desk to see if I was dreaming, if it was real and it was right there inside my desk drawer. I still can't believe it till this day, I always thought I would find one of those old gold coins in an old Ghost Town but never at a lake, like I did 3 weeks ago.
