Digging out Kaiser Franz Josef II

29 Mar 2020

Thanks God, going out to the open space is not prohibited at this coronavirus quarantine time. So I went to the fields with my partner and her Bernese Mountain Dog Jerry, my great friend, and of course with metal detector. I heard from earphones of my Equinox: “Dig me out! Set me free!” The signal was really trashy, typically aluminous with ID = 8. I tried the same settings both in all metal mode and in the mode Field 1 (Multi IQ, 50 tones, Iron Bias 0, Recovery Speed 6), the sound was still trashy aluminous with ID = 8. But after flyover of a rare plane causing a lot of electromagnetic noise I had to diminish sensitivity from 24 to some 16 to calm my Equinox and then suddenly heard nothing. When the plane was far away, I set the sensitivity back to 24. Several sweeps above the possible hole, several hesitant steps back to leave the target, several steps forth again to dig it. Finally, it was 10 Kreutzer of Habsburg Kaiser Franz Josef II. I put him into my special box immediately instead of setting him free, like a water sprite would put Franz Josef`s soul into a pot.
