I’m Alessio, known as “Cinghiale” (wildhog), and I’ve been detecting for over 12 years. My journey began with the Minelab Advantage, a machine that impressed me with its precision and performance and ignited my passion for detecting. Soon after, I moved on to the Sovereign, which allowed me to expand my hunts into shallow seawater. That’s where I made some of my first gold finds, and from then on, I became deeply passionate about searching in water as well as on land. Over the years I’ve grown my experience in coins, treasures, and even helping others recover lost objects. Detecting has become more than a hobby for me — it is a way of life that connects me with history and gives me the joy of discovery every time I step out.
