FBS 2 Multi-Frequency

FBS 2 sends multiple frequencies from 1.5 to 100 kHz, improving target ID, accuracy and depth. It maintains stability in mineralised ground and adapts to changing conditions.

FBS 2 Multi-Frequency Accuracy

FBS 2 transmits multiple frequencies from 1.5 kHz to 100 kHz, using advanced coil-to-detector communication to improve depth, sensitivity and target identification. It enhances signal stability and accuracy, even in mineralised or variable soils, helping you detect confidently and recover targets that others might miss.

Precision Pinpointing

Pinpoint mode offers extreme precision, helping you locate targets more accurately. With non-motion detection, modulated audio, and a visual crosshair on the LCD, you can dig smaller holes, recover targets faster and leave less trace behind. Choose between Normal or Sizing mode to match your detecting style.

Smartfind 2 with 2D Target ID Display

Smartfind 2 enhances Minelab’s FeCo Discrimination by analysing a target’s Ferrous (Fe) and Conductive (Co) properties, displaying the results on a 2D Target ID display with 35 ferrous and 50 conductive discrimination patterns. Shown clearly on a full-colour LCD, this system gives you a precise visual readout of target characteristics. Ultra-fast digital signal processing improves target separation, helping you detect with greater accuracy in complex or high-trash environments.

Full-Colour Display

Full-colour LCD display with backlight and adjustable brightness from 1 to 10, allowing you to detect in low-light conditions from dawn to dusk.

GPSi and PC Mapping

GPSi integrates a high-performance GPS engine to log accurate location and time data alongside your detector settings and targets. The system creates WayPoints, FindPoints and GeoHunt files, which can be viewed and managed in Minelab’s XChange 2 platform, making it easier to track progress, map success and revisit productive locations with precision.

Wireless Audio

Includes KOSS UR30 (100 ohm) wired headphones for seamless audio with minimal delay, plus a waterproof headphone connector, along with the WM 10 Wireless Module for optional wireless headphone use.

XChange 2 Application (PC Only)

Version 1.8.7-1.4.2 Released October 2023. Installation Guide: 1. Download “XChange2–1.8.7-1.4.2.exe” / 2. Restart your computer / 3. Locate the downloaded “XChange2–1.8.7-1.4.2.exe” file, then double click on the file to start the installation process. / 4. Installation will take approximately 5 minutes and will uninstall the current version of XChange 2 that is installed on your computer. / 5. Once installation is completed, restart your computer. / 6. Open and run XChange 2 as normal.
