5 months ago, I discovered a historical mine site near my home. Because the mine site no longer contains buildings, or any physical evidence it existed it's gone largely forgotten. I bought 2 Minelab X-terra 705s and gave the spare to a buddy and we began to hunt this site. After just a few days of hunting, we found more and more coins. It wasn't long before we had over 100 each from the site. To this date, I've found over 25 silvers, 90 Indian Heads, 97 Buffalos. Oldest coin to date is a 1853 Seated Half Dime. We have found V Nickels, Barber Quarters, and 100s of wheaties. The site is still producing. Our finds using Minelabs at this site has inspired friends to put down their metal detectors and buy Minelabs also!!!! This story does our experience little justice, but I had to share!!!!! To date I have found over 600 coins from this site, and I plan on going out today and getting some more!!! I love my X-terra 705, and I hope to upgrade to an E-TRAC someday.
