Lost VMI ring by Joe Bouchelle. (used with permission) Something amazing happened this week! My new friend, John Justice, who works at Fork Union Military Academy where I used to work, called me on Tuesday. I had never met him. He said "Is this Joe Bouchelle?" "Yes" "Did you go to VMI?" "Yes." "Did you used to work at FUMA?" "Yes..." and just when I thought...this is a little creepy....he said, "Did you lose your VMI ring?" I said, "Yes I did- almost 20 years ago!" Well, John was doing some metal detecting in the front yard of the house we used to live in at FUMA, and found my ring! After 19 years!!! I am so grateful for his honesty and work in tracking me down. I am grateful to have my ring back, but also grateful to have a new friends in John and his wonderful wife Debi.
