Unexpected jackpot

26 Mar 2020

Wanted to get to the beach early to beat the crowds. Parked and got my wetsuit on, geared up with my modified Excalibur ll and walked off toward the water. This is a very deep beach in that there's a lot of sand between the parking and the water. What I usually do is lower my sensitivity and toggle to disc to cover this distance looking for fresh drops. As I approached the water and the lifeguard stand I wandered around and got a banging signal on the lower side of mid tone. After a single scoop and a shake there it was - white metal with diamonds and a big blue stone. It was so unexpected that at first I thought "SURE" another heart stopper! I've been fooled many times before. I pulled it out and it was marked 14K/585 .At home the diamonds tested real and I believe its tanzanite. As soon as my wife saw it-that was it - it was hers.
