Success Story

Here is a story about what happened to me a couple of years ago. Among this lot of 24k finds is a 140g 24k chain with a Chinese horoscope pendant of a horse. I found this in the middle of the night in the water in HK with my Excalibur II. The day after I found this when I arrived at the beach to hunt, I found I was still wearing it, I took it off and hid it inside my socks and boots which I left on the beach within my sight. While I was in the water, someone stole my bag! I was completely devastated and feeling so stupid. I was left with nothing but a wet wetsuit, all my clothes, passport with new Russian visa , phone , money and gold GONE. I got the police to take me home. I sat feeling stupid and sorry for 3 days until I finally picked myself up and decided that I would go and find another one. Last train to this beach was at midnight and the low tide wasn't due until about 3am, so when I arrived at the same beach where the bag was stolen I had a couple of hours to kill. I decided to search the park for my stolen bag, I searched everywhere and was about to give up when I noticed a compound where the lifeguards and beach cleaners keep their stuff. Shining my torch through the wire fence I spotted my jacket laying on a shopping trolley, in a moment of wild optimism I thought "maybe my boots are here" I shined my torch around and to my astonishment there they were on the floor ! I found the gate to the compound and saw it had a padlock on it, I then noticed it was unlocked! I opened the gate, went straight to my boots, reached in and THERE IT WAS!!! my socks , with the 55,000 HKD gold necklace still inside! The thief had taken my phone, money and passport then thrown the bag and my clothes etc. away. Apparently, the beach cleaners had picked it up and dumped it in the compound without really looking. So, there is the story of the 140g 24k necklace that I found twice. During the time I was without the necklace I came to thinking that I must be feeling similar to the person who lost it. Luckily I had slightly better karma than him..... I think this shows , you should never give up hope......
