My First Nugget

16 May 2021

I bought my GPX 6000 two weeks ago. I travelled to Mount Crawford today and found the usual array of bullets and shotgun pellets. Just after lunch I found a target on a hillside covered in shattered quartz and ironstone. To my surprise the target was still in place after the first scrape and the second and the third. Finally some 9 inches down the target was finally cleared and I pulled out my scoop. On the third or fourth scoop I had the target in hand and the GPX 6000 was singing loudly. When I finally separated the target and found it was not the typical round shape I've been finding all day my heart skipped a beat. When it was revealed as gold I couldn't stop smiling. South Australian Gold, Yeee Haah!!!
