Took a half day from work to take advantage of great weather here in Connecticut and take my new Minelab EQUINOX 600 for a hunt. I secured permission (a few weeks prior while waiting for my EQUINOX to be delivered) to metal detect this old farm field in town. Grabbed my EQUINOX 600 and gear then headed to the far corner where I knew there was an old well for my for my first hunt on the property. Walking the site I get this great sounding tone and being new to Minelab and the EQUINOX I wasn't sure what the target would be.. 14 inches later a genuine civil war breast plate sees daylight for the first time since the mid 1800s. A complete heart stopping find of a lifetime and an amazing piece of history saved. Thank you Minelab for your amazing equipment.
