Double Old Silver In The Same Hole

28 Nov 2019

It was my third day out with my new Minelab Equinox 800. I went out to a school where I have found deep silver before with my other high end detector, but this day was different. I received a high tone signal that was about six plus inches deep and pulled out a Canadian silver 1911 King George V dime. I was on cloud nine. Then I was just about to put the plug back together and thought wait a second I should re-check the hole with my pin pointer and sure enough the pointer went off. I pulled out another Canadian dime, but this dime was older. It's a King Edward VII 1906. I couldn't believe it. I have never found two older silver coins in one hole before. I have gridded this school so many times over with the other detector that I was blown away and this told me that the Minelab Equinox 800 has just opened up all the places again.
