The curse of my Silver Roman Tarjan Coin.

23 Apr 2017

It was a dry day out on my permission in April 2017. The landowner had just disc up the field I was going on. I had a good feeling about this field as I have found an Elizabeth 1st sixpence and a Charles 11 Scottish twenty pence within 10 meters from each other. I started detecting and after five minutes, my machine started to make cracking noise witch I have never heard before. I switched off my machine and changed the batteries and then started again, within five feet from when my machine started making strange noises I had a brilliant signal about 9 inches down. I dug down and saw this very small coin. I gave it a gentle rub and saw some silver on the coin. I replaced the soil in the hole and stood up to take a look at the coin. I noticed it was a roman coin which was rare on my permission as there isn't any Roman activity around this area. I started to clean the coin and I noticed the coin was silver but flaking off and then realised it was a fake from the Roman times. I placed my coin in my finds tub and then went to start detecting again and my machine was dead . The Romans had put a curse on my machine once I found the coin.
