Recently after work, my wife, father and I stopped to do a quick metal detecting hunt in a small historical timber town in the Pacific Northwest. We were working a small permission along a public sidewalk when my E-TRAC gave me a consistent 12-47 signal at about 6 inches deep. The first coin recovered was a beautiful 1924 SLQ. I ran my coil over the hole and received another beautiful high tone. This time I located a 1918 mercury dime. Excited, I refilled my hole, but before moving on I quickly scanned and received another high tone. I re-popped my plug and was amazed to find a 2nd SLQ hiding in the dirt. I think the best part about the whole adventure was my wife video recorded the entire event on her phone! What an exciting day!
