Musketeer Strikes Silver

29 Nov 2016

Just recently, I took my trusted Musketeer out for a hunt in salt marshes infested with iron sand (1-2" deep in some places). This location has produced a few silvers and tokens from the 1800s. In NZ it's very difficult to find old coins due to the young age of our country. Now, I have used Garret, Nokta and Teknetics as well as a 705 on the same site but for some reason the Musketeer Advantage is the ONE that has found any silver coins. I had given up on rescuing any more coins from here and was on my way back to my truck when bam the faint signal I was waiting for. Turned out over 8" deep in iron sand AND there it was. 1865 English Shilling.

From the same site my muskee has found...

1817 sixpence 1836 shilling A ring made from 1837 shilling 1865 token 1855 4 pence

I am still blown away how quiet the muskee is on the wet sand, nothing yet has matched its performance.
