Last Supper ???

26 Sep 2016

I left work and drove as fast as I could to hit the beach at low tide – it was extra low tide - harvest moon. Water was still 75 degrees but jellyfish were everywhere – 2 minutes in and already could feel the sting. I was able to go out much farther than usual. The usual clad coins and fishing weights were coming up one after another… then I got this low strong tone… I know that it’s got to be gold. 1st scoop nothing, 2nd scoop still nothing, next one I see it. Pulled it out of the basket and could not get a really good look as I was up to my neck in water with the full sun and fighting the waves. So, I threw it in my pouch and continued on for a few more hours. When I finally did get back to the car and dumped out my pouch.. WOW . It was the Last Supper portrait in white gold on a 10 K gold ring surrounded by diamonds. This is one of my favorite water finds. So far this year 16 rings and 2 silver & gold chains found in the salt water with my Minelab Excalibur II!
