An old jail house in Hampton Iowa built in 1880 - first known prisoner was arrested for horse bridal rosette theft. Not knowing what I had found at first, it was at skater I realized I found a bridal rosette in the now grassy area adjacent to where prisoners would be led into booking. There is good chance this rosette is the actual rosette stolen and then "ditched" by the prisoner as he approached the jail house. The new owner of the property is currently restoring and offering tours and real life jailing experience. Thanks for looking.
