I was out detecting on a very slow day, I hadn't had a single item of interest, the grass was quite long and I was getting a bit disheartened and fed up, so started the slow long walk back to the car when I got the only decent signal ID had all day and his little beautiful Saxon penny came out ! I thought as I've seen it in the clod it was just another hammered, then the mud fell off and I knew I had something special, needless to say I stayed out detecting for a few more hours.
