The first version of XChange 2 (1.6.7-1.0.30), initially available for download on May 18th 2012, and supplied on CD with the first CTX 3030 detectors, may not be fully compatible with some PCs. If umlauts and certain Cyrillic characters, that are not part of the standard A-Z English alphabet, are part of the Windows username an error message may appear, as shown below:
This issue has been rectified with the second version of XChange 2 (1.6.7-1.0.31) which is now available for download here. This upgraded version will also be supplied on CD with new CTX 3030 detectors.
For customers experiencing any installation problems with XChange 2 (1.6.7-1.0.30), the first step is download the new version here and attempt to reinstall the application.
All customers are welcome to install the latest version, but there is no new functionality provided. The latest version is only necessary to resolve the compatibility issue stated above. If installing the upgrade, there is no need to uninstall the original application. This is automatically carried out as part of the installation procedure.
