Rewarded For My Efforts

26 Jan 2012

A few weeks ago I was searching, when a farmer came to me. After a while he asked me to search a land because he thougt he hit a WWII granate while plowing his field. So last week I had a few hours time to search. I went to the marked place and indeed I found the granate. It was a big nasty brisant granate, that we found often before. After calling the army for removing the granate. I went futher for searching some discolouration in the field. I didn't find another granate. But I was rewarded for my effort, and I was lucky to find a nice silver coin, called a Pietje. It is a 1/8 dukaat from Zeeland the place I comming from. The farmer was happy, because he can work safely. I am happy with the coin I found. Good findings all, Greetings from Holland Rob van der Zander - Zeeland, Netherlands
