Oldies Rock

29 Dec 2014

Rocky Beaches I normally avoid. Big Mistake. Having worked the sandy patches of a local Adelaide beach with no real luck except for a few $2 and $1's, I decided to try the rocky stretch further along. Immediately I recorded a solid 12.41 and there was my first Penny under a large round rock. An 1892, followed soon after by a 1917 One Florin - 2 Shillings. I knew this patch hadn't been worked before or at least not thoroughly as I pulled Sixpences, another Florin, Two 1950's shillings and some very old Victoria pennies which unfortunately the date was unreadable...Thanks to my 3030, it was a fun couple of hours before the tide came in. I'll be back there asap.. and finding more rocky beaches to explore..
