Hi, here is an update on my grave find.

But first, big thank you to Minelab for making my find "The find of the month" :) For Part 1 look here:

http://www.minelab.com/consumer/success-stories/my-greatest-discovery-by-far So a few weeks after I did the discovery of the grave, the excavation was about to start. I had talked to my boss and got a week off to take part in the excavation. The excavation went on for 4 days and we recovered lots of nice objects. We found a sword, a spearhead, some arrowheads, a scythe, 2 sickles, a briddle and after the excavation x-rays showed there was allso an ax among the objects. Most of the objects seems to be in very good condition and the grave is now dated to late Germanic Iron Age (550-800 AD). So It is a bit younger than we first thought but still quite awesome. I have made a video with most of the bictures I did during the excavation, so check it out.
