myself and my friend logan had been doing some research on an area in warwick queensland Australia, and we found what we thought was once an old Chinese market dating back to the early 1800,s.

so we set out on a mission early Sunday morning on the 11/1/2015 to try and locate the site to where we had thought the site to be, after a 2 hour drive we arrive at the site nice open field just what we want.

I am armed with my CTX 3030 and logan with a Tesoro cibola finds started coming out straight away manly moderns poor logans digging all the junk with the cibola while I’m in coin mode on the 3030 getting lots of 1 and 2 cent coins thinking there has to be older coins here just a case of walking over them as soon as I had thought that then bang a nice high tone and tid of 1245 pinpoint then start to dig not 2 inch down out pops a 1799 George the third half penny smash my pb best up to that date is a 1853 English penny take a seat and call logan over high fives everywhere and of course the happy dance.

our research had paid off composed myself and off we go again walked maybe 50 yards same high tone same tid number surely not another not quite but 6 inch down out pops a George the third penny how stoked am I but one side is pretty worn so no date can be seen but have managed to narrow it down to 1806 no more epic finds for me logan at this point has found some 1800 buckle and lots of junk. give it 15 mins then time to go I say yep hold on logan shouts come over here and look at my 1820 traders token I have just got. so all in all we have found us a great site to which we shall return.

cheers

Bob – Queensland, Australia
