Went to Nome, Alaska and stayed at AkAu Mine for a week. The tailings piles are from the earliest gold rush to Nome area. These have been pushed several times each year for the past three years and the SDC 2300 still produced some heavy nuggets there. I am very impressed with this rugged detector! Way to go Minelab you have a winner because it can stand up to the weather and rugged conditions of Nome prospecting.
