I was on a Facebook organised dig in Blandford Dorset UK and was having the usual ring pulls and foil when all of a sudden my fiancé called me over to help her pinpoint a target using my Safari. I pinpointed what turned out to be a button and moved on. At the edge of the field where we were searching came a chirpy but positive signal in the 30's and so I started digging. The Safari was spot on giving me a rough idea of the depth and location of the target. I dug down about a foot and recognised instantly the profile of an early bronze age flanged axe head! I carefully excavated around it and it came out in superb condition! I have only been detecting for 6 months and the Safari is my first machine but I wouldn’t trade it for any other I have tried since. What a beauty bit of kit!!
