When I received my new GPX 5000 in the mail the first thing I did was race out to the closest location I have found nuggets before. After about an hour of experimentation with buried test pieces I stepped onto an old patch that I know has been worked by several other operators and the photos speak for themselves, happy days.
These nuggets were all deep with the bigger 4 all around 1/2 metre. So it pays to take the time to really experiment with modes and settings and rework old patches.
