On December 27, 2013 I was involved in a deadly log truck accident which required UAB Life Flight to send a medical evac helicopter to the scene to save my life. After staying in the ICU and being discharged home, I began the journey to as normal a life as I can achieve. As one may imagine, rehabilitation and the depression of now being disabled has been a major obstacle for me. In late January of this year, a close friend came by and said "you need to get out the house and do something to cheer yourself up". On this particular day it was warm and quite sunny, so to my surprise he pulled out his metal detector and said "let's go find something".
I had never used a metal detector, so I was less than interested lol. To my huge surprise, he quickly showed me how easy his detector was to use (CTX 3030) and in a short time, I found a 1921 MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR! WOW, now I was hooked! At my next Doctor's appointment, I asked my Doctor if metal detecting would be okay for me to do. After explaining what all is involved, he told me that it would be excellent therapy and stress management for me. I am saving money to buy my very own CTX 3030, but for now I worry my friend to death every chance I get to use his, haha. I wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for making a top quality, professional machine that is easy to use and tough as nails! In my opinion, Minelab makes the best metal detectors on the planet.
