I have only been in the metal detecting hobby for about 5 years. I was always faithful to the Garrett brand. In March of this year, I became detecting buddies with another local guy (Derek who is now a good friend) who also uses the CTX 3030. He continually told me that I needed to get one and I wondered because he would always end up finding way more than me with the AT Pro. A local metal detecting shop got a used one in one day and the deal was too good to pass up. I ended up purchasing the machine and at first had no idea how to use it. After a lot of hours and many plugs, I figured out what was what.
I went to a local spot that had been pounded over the years and where I had gone many times myself with little to no luck. The CTX 3030 took on the challenge and in the last 2 months, I have recovered almost 11 mercury dimes, several wheat pennies, a Civil War 3 ring mini ball and many other relics. This machine goes deep. I average 8 inches on depth for the Merc's I've been pulling out of the ground. I am truly amazed at how well this machine performs. I hope my video explains a little more and showcases the performance of this excellent machine.
