Minelab

Late middle ages silver coin from Belgium

19 Jul 2015

Hello After 9 years of searching with the Sovereign GT it was time for one step further in the minelab range of detectors and a bought the CTX 3030 model. My first hunt that day was a total disaster and the doubts came there already if a had made the rigt decisions. That first week I placed the detector on the side and started every day to read the manual front to back and vice versa. I looked all the movies on you tube regarding use of the CTX 3030. The 2nd week i went again on a new hunt and automatically i understood the most what i had read and learned that past week. And that day I found a new top piece for in my display case. I found a MAILLE ( = litthe denarius) from GENT (Belgium) , made in de period we call here the county of Flanders and this coin was strucked in the years between 1259 and 1305 . the material is silver, diameter 10mm and weight 0,4 gram ( so very thin) Greatings from Belgium (Flanders) mtc cocoon wim - Belgium
