After five months of not detecting, I decided to go out with the GO-FIND 40 which I hadn't used in about a year. I went over to a large local park in hopes of finding a few coins, it had been so long since my last good find. After parking, I took a few swings to make sure the 40 was working, set sensitivity to level 2, and discriminated out iron. I walked through the sand volleyball court and had not moved 15 feet through the grass when a good signal rang out. About 2.5" inches down I pulled out this monster, 12.6 grams of 14k, 10 diamonds across the top. Not more than 15 minutes had passed since climbing out of the car.
Gotta love that little GO-FIND 40! Incredibly, I dug a 14k 4.8 gram plain band about fifteen minutes after this one.
