I just bought the new GPZ 7000 from Doc over at Doc’s Detecting in Las Vegas and it was a great experience.
I bought my first detector which was the Minelab SD 2200 probably 15 years ago or so. Since then I have upgraded it to the GPX 4500 which I bought from a local Utah dealer who is no longer in business and a few years ago I upgraded the 4500 to a 5000 which I bought from Gerry from Gerry’s Detectors in Idaho. I still own the 5000 and have every option you could imagine on it.
In addition to the new GPZ 7000 and my 5000 I also own an Excalibur II which I had to send back for service after initially buying it from the dealer in Hawaii and Minelab took care of me very quickly on the service.
I also own the CTX 3030 and an SDC 2300 which were both bought from Chris at Arizona Outback.
I love all of my Minelab detectors but have to say this purchase from Doc was my best experience. I could tell he was sincere about making sure I knew exactly how to use my new detector and he even took me out for a day in the desert to detect and after all of these years I found my first nugget!
