This year I decided I needed a hobby to get me off the couch and outside and decided to take up metal detecting. I bought an X-TERRA 705 in February and love it! I found a couple silver coins, a few silver rings, and one beautiful gold ring with it.
In June a friend of mine sold me his E-TRAC and I fell in love. This machine is awesome! I have found 107 more silver coins, and multiple silver rings and pendants with it, as well as over $500 in clad. Some of my more notable finds are a 1874 seated dime, 1838 Large Cent, 1782 Austrian Half Krutzer, 2 Franklin Half Dollars, 1 Walking Liberty, and many, many silver Mercury and Roosevelt dimes and Washington Quarters.
I cannot believe the success I have had in my first year detecting and I owe it all to Minelab for making such great detectors! Nothing gets my blood pumping quicker then hearing that beautiful Silver high tone on my E-TRAC.
