After a very hot Saturday and Sunday staying out of the heat was the order of the day, as the afternoon approached it started to cool down. Since I hadn't been detecting for two weeks the afternoon was a good chance to go. Arriving at the beach about 8:30pm there must of been a few hundred people still there. I put a few hours with my X-TERRA 705 concentric coil as I was detecting two people approached me asking what I was doing one asked me twice if the machine would pick up glass after a brief intro they asked me to sit down with them time out. One of said they were from Iraq after sitting and having a good lengthy conversation I decided to carry on detecting. A few coin were coming my way ,but the beach was littered by rubbish, cans, foils, broken chairs, and people just leave and expect someone else to clean up their mess. Amongst my finds were two brand new toy cars so what I did was give them to one of the guys I met before as he said he had young kids. I spent some of the gold coins on the way back the rest is going in the money jar and reinvested when I collect enough back into the hobby. Happy hunting and good luck.
