Well I decided it was time to step and start using a real deep seeking detector so I got myself an Explorer XS for Christmas. I've been detecting for almost 14 years and in no time I was swinging the Explorer like a pro. I was at a new farm that has been producing many KG coppers, a NJ copper, a 1781 2 Reale, and a bunch of 19th century silver. I was only out for a few hours and got a nice solid hit along a piney tree line bordering the field. Dug down about 6 or 7 inches and it was still in the hole and sounding better every second! Used my pin pointer and found it to be dead center bottom of the hole. Flip the dirt out and saw it. First thing I thought was an aluminum gaming piece? NOPE. 1708 Carlos III Spanish 2 Reales in awesome shape! Man was I psyched! So far the best find I have so far with my Explorer. Jim Toogood – NJ, USA
