Army of the Potomac Relics

14 Jan 2011

I have been using the Safari for four months now, in my humble opinion is a great machine. I have enclosed a group shot of my finds, these finds were found in Stafford and Orange County, Virginia, and was part of the 120,000 men of the Army of the Potomac camped during the winter of 1862-1863 and General Lee's winter camp in 1863-1864. This site also saw Confederate soldiers marching on their way to two battles, Mine Run 1863 and the battle of the Wilderness 1864.The soil here is fairly good. All of the finds were found using the following setting, relic mode: sensitivity around 15, threshold at 9, high trash density, rejecting -10 to -7 and + 40 and was using the 10x12 SEF butterfly coil. I have had good success with these setting and this coil. Frank Schneider – Virginia, USA
