Was out for a few hours on 12/14/2014 and was hunting a known Civil War Union campsite. The iron was thick and I had to listen close for the right tones to dig. Was there for about an hour, not turning up much when I got the sweet high tone of a deep signal. I cut a plug with my shovel and the signal was in the middle of the hole. After digging down at least 12" I found a .69 cal minie. I rechecked the hole and then the fun was on!! I called my hunting buddy over and we enlarged the hole. Bullets just kept dropping out of the side walls of the hole!!. After about 1 hour of digging we got 65 bullets from the hole, which was loaded with square nails also. I have used the X-TERRA 70 with the 10.5DD HF Coil since 2007 and have yet found another machine to cut thru the iron and deliver the goods relic hunting!! Thanks Minelab for a great detector!!
