14k Masonic ring and a 14k signet ring

01 Sep 2017

I went Detecting at a spot my friends Joe and Dave researched. This was a old swimming hole from the early 1900's to the 1940''s and no longer used today. My friend Joe F was in the water and just yelled he got gold. So I decided to make my way over in the water detecting toward him. Then I got a 12:22 signal and looked in my scoop and it was a gold ring. I didn't realize it was a Masonic ring at first it had clay on it. After I cleaned it up I saw it was 14k and beautiful. That was my first Masonic ring I ever found and a really old one. Then about 20 min later I got a 12:08 signal and it was a 14k signet ring. That's was 2 old gold rings for the day and a great feeling inside. I also scored a buffalo nickel and a mercury dime from the 1920's. Altogether a great day of fun with 2 great friends Joe and Dave.
